New generation racecourses for Hong Kong

In 2011, the Hong Kong Jockey Club launched its Racecourse Master Plan programme of redevelopment and renovation to transform ageing racecourse facilities into a new generation of venues for a wider customer base with a new image befitting the exciting sport and social entertainment event that racing is. The Master Plan is a key enabler of the Club’s core strategy to revitalize and sustain racing in Hong Kong in the face of ever-growing local and regional competition.

BYME was awarded the 3-year term contract (with another year as an option) for electrical and mechanical installations at both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses. The works consist in site survey, design, co-ordination, installation, renovation, retrofitting and T&C for all MEP trades in different phases.
Commitment to planning

Every summer, BYME must carry out huge amount of works on a very fast-track programme so that the venues are fully operational when the new racing season starts in September. This particular constraint requires very meticulous planning and co-ordination from the teams on site.
