Located in eastern Singapore, close to the Changi International Airport, Tampines Grande covers 33,600 m² of commercial and office space spanned over two eight-storey office buildings with underground car parks. BYME Singapore was appointed as the Design & build MEP specialist contractor in charge of providing all building services.
Tampines Grande was the first building in Singapore to be awarded the LEED Gold award thanks to numerous green innovations. These solutions created a cutting-edge, energy-efficient and sustainable office building that incorporated the following green features:
  • Solar air conditioning with 1,160 m² vacuum-tube water-heating panels
  • Solar photovoltaic rooftop (101 kWp / 940 m²) and BIPV (6 kWp)
  • Cold plasma air purifiers & CO / CO2 detection systems
  • T5 fluorescent lamps, light and motion sensors
  • Rain water collection system and automatic irrigation
Environmental performance

Tampines Grande was awarded the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Award in 2008 and the LEED Gold Award in 2010, a testament to BYME Singapore’s commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation. The design and construction of Tampines Grande also included a solar-powered air-conditioning system and a 33% improvement in efficiency over conventional code compliant buildings.
